Quiet types was quietly beautiful. It was the kind of read that just swept me up and I read it completely on a Sunday morning, feeling sad when it was done. This was a character-driven story written with such depth and emotion.

Maggie and Shay had been travelling on the same bus to and from work for months and looks were exchanged. The way this story built (slowly) from fleeting looks to making contact was exceptionally written. I was invested so quickly and I felt their uncertainty alongside their fresh interest in one another. Those feelings built with such tangibility and I was in the moments with them.

Communication was a key theme in this story. Having to communicate differently and observing a relationship grow this way felt special. Family and friends provided some side plot. Both Shay and Maggie had complications but I appreciated the loving family on one side to off-set the mess on the other side.

This quiet, low-angst story is wholly memorable and I highly recommend for romance lovers in need of that lower stakes reading experience.

This is such a beautiful book of two people finding each other when they feel no one else can see them for who they are. An incredibly  romantic book to me.

This was a lovely reminder of how much I like romances featuring ordinary people. There are only so many billionaires and dukes and gorgeous people that I can take.

Too boring for me. Or maybe I'm just cranky because of my period.
