It's probably for the best I didn't read this as a teen (or worse, a tween), because I probably would have tried to start a riot or something. It was a fun read for sure - I loved Viv and all her friends and loved the idea behind Moxie. I mean, obviously, it felt like a YA book because things were a bit extreme and some of their reactions were less extreme than I think an adult would go for (I mean, I think if people just started grabbing me at random in the school hallways, at this point, I'd do a lot more than leave a sticker on their locker, but I'm also 10 years older than the characters).

Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this one. Do you have to suspend your disbelief a bit as an adult? Yeah, but that's often the case with YA books. Still a really fun read and worth picking up as a fun palate cleanser.

I quite liked this book, it might be because it’s got a strong message of feminism in it and I truly are an avid feminist or if it’s the fact it took a serious look into the struggles of being a women with heavy topics of sexual assault/harassment and how important it is to fight and protest against these issues.

I read this book because I loved the movie (which was different but both are great). I am so glad for that because I adored this book! The characters felt so real and relatable. As a gen z girl in a high school where guys get away with crab and dresscode is ridiculous...this book just felt so validating and so important for young women.

This book is way different than the movie. Its significantly better; The protagonist has more of a back bone. This is a great feminist ya book. It even discusses how boys can’t understand what its like being a girl, they usually get defensive when talking about it, you don’t need to be defensive, you need to listen.
