This lovely Hallmark Christmas romance was a cozy mix of Christmas romance X REGARDING HENRY, the movie where a powerful lawyer loses much of his memory after a shooting and has to start over, becoming a much kinder version of himself in the process. In AN UNFORGETTABLE CHRISTMAS, Angie works as an accountant in Sam Singleton’s jewelry store. Sam has had trouble with relationships his entire life and is estranged from his friends and family. When he slips and falls on some ice just before Christmas, he retains some memories from early childhood, but none of the ones from the recent years of his adult life. With no close friends or family able to care for him, he is sent home with Angie. Sam’s personality changes entirely after the accident, becoming warmer, kinder. I loved seeing him connect with Angie’s family and son, and the way he reconnected with his own family and estranged friends. Of course, the looming question is… will he regain his lost memories? This was a lovely Christmas romance with some interesting complications!

A super cheesy Hallmark movie Christmas story done right!

Angela is the accountant at Singleton's Jewelers and often clashes with her abrasive boss Sam. One night after work, he falls on the ice and develops amnesia. With no one else to care for him, Angela takes him to her home, where he instantly becomes part of the family. Angela's son, Pepe, her mother and grandmother all love Sam. As he learns more about the man he was, Sam sees how distant and self-centered his life has been for years. This leads him to make lasting changes, including reconnection with family and friends, and falling for Angela in the process.

I love Christmas romances, and this Hallmark book will be one that I re-read each year, very sweet story, reminds me of one of my favourite Christmas movies, A Gift For Christmas, which is also a Hallmark movie.

[I received an electronic review copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.]

I love a great Hallmark Christmas movie like anybody else, but this was a disappointment for me. I couldn't wait for it to be over. 3 stars is a generous rating for my enjoyment of the book, but the story is solid. It was just bland and predictable. I didn't feel any spark between the two main characters or in the overall story. Frankly, I was more interested in the relationship that started for the main character's mother than I was in the central relationship for this book. This was just not a good fit for me.

A fun little Christmas story that ends well with temporary changes becoming permanent.

This is a charming and feel-good Christmas-themed novel with real characters and I especially loved Angie's family. The plot itself was perhaps a tad bit predictable, but sometimes one needs a light read.
