A slow start, but I enjoyed this. Thought I was going to be able to predict the ending and I was wrong. Good read for spooky season.

jessb915's review against another edition

DID NOT FINISH: 28%

I have been very into the dark academia trend and was excited for this book! Unfortunately, I had to dnf after a scene where a child is assaulted (see content warnings). It was a graphic description—unnecessarily so, in my opinion. I want to maybe give this book another chance, as so many people have gushed about it. I have heard there are other triggering events that might prevent me from returning to this one though. Just not for me.

Bello bello bello.
