The Second Book in the Foundation series deals with the newest Seldon crises that the developing Foundation encounters. A direct conflict with the crumbling Galactic Empire and a new unforseen threat.

The tension is high and the payoffs are satisfying. In this book we feel with effect of the personal stories of the main characters and watch how they navigate the new epochs in the history of the Foundation.

It is an enjoyable and thrilling story. Although there are still some areas where the scene transitions could be better handled to avoid confusion on the part of the reader, thus harming the readability, it is a good read and a fine sequel. I'm looking forward to seeing the continuation.

I like this book the first time I read it as a teenager, but as a 40-something, uh, man this is some sexist shit. And ableist!

I think in 2024 or whenever you read this review if you read it, just find a different series. Or watch the tv show.
