A Woman! She was great and I kinda half guessed the twist at the beginning but then it buried it long enough that I let it go. I think it was more focused in on a smaller set of characters than the first which had pros and cons. You gave a bit more of a shit about then but it did feel less like a galaxy epic.

A set of two short stories - the second "The Mule" is much better than the first. Although, that said, I saw the "surprise ending" (if it was supposed to be a surprise) a long ways before the ending. Still, a solid read and good enough to hook me into reading the third installment.
