the Tribe of Endless Hunting couldn't have chosen a tribe cat to fulfill their prophecy? it had to be a clan cat? for why?

The 6 cats who went on a jouney many moons ago are finally returning. They avoid TwoLeg place into the mountains, and discover a Tribe called The Tribe of Rushing Water. The Tribe seems interested in Stormfur, the main character of the book. They also seem worried about something though they won't tell the Clan cats what it is. A cat called Brook likes to hunt with Stormfur, but when the Tribe holds Stormfur prisoner to save them from the trouble, the rest of the Clan cats sneak in to save Stormfur while the Tribe was distracted. They succeed but after Stormfur had a dream about his dead mother, he decides to go back. Feathertail appeared to be the promised cat and saves the Tribe, but she dies. Meanwhile, back in the breaking forest, Leafpaw gets stolen by Twolegs...

FEATHERTAIL MY BELOVED 😭😭😭

but on a serious note, the book started a bit slow for me. it took me a while to get into it, the changing perspectives per chapter threw me off a bit. but I grew to like it!

the tribe cats were an interesting switch up from the usual cats outside of clans like rogues or kitty pets. their similar routine to clan life created an interesting perspective on what it means to be a clan cat. the differences in warrior ancestors and names were also a nice touch.

leafpaw. girl im SO sorry. she has the weight of the world on her for no reason!!! but her & squirrelpaw’s relationship is so 🥹
