I really struggled with this one, not because it was bad (ruin 👀) but because it was so uninteresting. The majority of the booked felt like a word for word rehash of malice.

The portions of the book that were new, particularly Dionysus' POV, felt slightly out of place, though they were arguably the most enjoyable aspects of the book.

I appreciate that this book spent quite a bit of time following Dionysus and Ariadne. It was fresh and new, and not a regurgitation of a book that's already been written, and not entirely all of Hades and Persephone bologna. I enjoyed their story. I really like Ariande.

Other than that, everything else stayed the same. Persephone annoys the hell out of me. Hades is brooding and grumpy in the worst way. And there's still entirely too much smut and too little plot.

I'm hopeful going into the last book that as all the storyline lines come together, I might enjoy my experience.

Theseus… if Hades doesn’t kill you first, I will.

Ariadne & Dionysus, I love yall & I need more of you in the next book… or a spin off. Idc bc that TENSION??? Gahhhhh damn 😮‍💨😮‍💨

The love & care that Hades & Persephone have for each other??? I love their love 🥺🥺

I LOVE that we got more of Apollo & Hermes in this book. Love their friendship with Persephone, and how much they get on Hades’ nerves 😂

THAT ENDING????? Nervous for what’s gonna happen next

for a series that started out as 5 star reads for me, this book was extremely disappointing. it felt like a reread in a way that was boring. so much unnecessary things were added that just felt like filler, and idk…. this just didn’t hit the same for me. i DNF’d halfway through the book unfortunately :(

As much as I love Hades and Persephone, I have to say that Hermes and Hecate are the true stars of the series. Hecate is so loyal (the ultimate friend) and such a freaking badass. Hermes is an icon and brings such comedic relief to the storyline. Looking forward to A Touch of Chaos!
