allzen_nochill's review against another edition
Very dry and econ-based rather than socially-based - just not what my little brain is built for.

This book gives a great insight into the history of lobbying, economics and international relations through the lense of the cigarette fascinating

Fantastic overview of the political economy of the US cigarette market. Be warned, if you are looking for a book that directly catalogues some of the lies of the cigarette industry or the MSA that was signed in the nineties, this book does not spend a lot of time on those elements.

Spends too much time on things that are rather boring and too little time on the past 30 years (basically just 8-10 pages of the conclusion)
Also could‰ЫЄve been better organized. 7 chapters is not at all my preference for 300 page history books
