I absolutely enjoyed Samantha Downing's earlier work "My Lovely Wife" so I think that also added to my expectations of the book. It didn't leave me as mindfucked as My Lovely Wife, but it was a compelling one! Off the bat, you'd already know who's the culprit but Downing managed to still have me reading and finishing it, since there are other elements, POVs, and events that play out on top of the main plot.
Moderate: Murder and Sexual assault
