Such a visual novel, felt like reading a screenplay. I loved the familiarity of writing, how you saw so deeply into each character's thoughts. Very enjoyable read, thanks for the ARC!

This was such a charming and relatable story. I loved the focus on the way we all fixate on things and their meanings, and how different we may think things are from the way they are intended. I also loved the discussion around art and the need to create. The interactions were depicted so uniquely and I really enjoyed the narrative style. This story lost me a little with the sections towards the end from Dante, Bush, and de Man, I felt it was a bit too meta and the book would have been better without them.

mam wrażenie że ta książka jest strasznie bezcelowa i autorce gdzieś miedzy złapaniem konceptu na powieść a jej napisaniem uciekł cały sens
ani emocji, ani ciekawości

“All knowledge about the world is mediated. We are all logs floating around in water.”

If Virginia Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway met Sally Rooney’s Beautiful world where are you, and they made a book baby—this would be it. Witty with the occasional biting sarcasm. This book was both relatable and unimaginable. I particularly recommend for fans of lit/lit theory who want to take themselves a tad less seriously. :)

4.5 stars, rounded down, because despite how much I loved this, I found the translation (I presume?) a bit clunky.

What a lovely, meandering, quirky introspection.

Czekaj, mrugaj to chyba moje pierwsze całkowicie nieudane spotkanie z literaturą skandynawską.
