Felt a little half-baked. The story could have been fleshed out a bit more because there were so many potential subplots that were not addressed fully.

This was an interesting read. I had no idea where the story was going starting at the mid-point. Not in a edge of my seat type of way, but in a eyebrows scrunched type of way. Mandy was introduced as a friend and the character was seemingly forming a true bond with all of a sudden became disposable and the friendship abruptly ended. After a ~six month friends with benefits situation between Jane and Perry, the two main characters, on their very first date (presumably since it was only framed as a dinner) Perry proposes?? To which she accepts, despite the fact that a paragraph before she was confident he was ending their situation. She then declares her... love for him? Huh? As the reader, who was experiencing this journey alongside Jane, I wasn't even sure she liked Perry. I knew Perry was interested and possibly liked her, not she was the love of his life. There were many storylines, all interesting but none fully explored and randomly dropped. There was a random twist where it seemed that she was going to be framed for a murder, and the rest of the story would be her fighting it, that went nowhere.
The main character was quite impulsive which was fine, but there seemed to be very little reflection on her actions, feelings, and thoughts. Overall good storylines but extremely underexplored, underdeveloped, underexplained, and seemingly random. I would not even know what genre I would classify this as. I personally would have preferred the storylines be pared down a bit if the page count was to stay the same. While the book boasted on how much Jane had grown and changed during the story, I barely saw that and definitely did not fully experience that with her. I also had no strong feelings for any of the characters.
Overall, while this is not my type of book, if you like experiencing glimpses of a persons life with some internal dialogues I think this would be quite interesting.

I really enjoyed this read! I loved the way that, just as I was figuring out where the story was going, a twist and change would come in to spice things up. I really liked seeing Jane grow as a person throughout her 'home confinement' in her apartment.
The beginning was intriguing, the middle was fine, and the ending was sweet! The author left quite a few loose ends which seemed odd and left me wondering (mostly about the whole potential murder. What a whacky thing to leave up in the air).
