(Audiobook) entertaining listen! The beginning of the book starts off a bit raunchy. But the story proceeds along nicely with a twin sister's adventures within the enclosures of her apartment. The short friendship with a dentist who's personality is confusing as her motives. The love found in another resident's similar situation. Along with the progress of relationships with her family (twin sister, parents) and the start of a tiktok fame. It does raise an interesting question of fate, free will, and circumstance.

Like many others, I thought this book was delightful. It really flew for me, and I think it was the succinct nature of the chapters and how the story moved at a nice pace. I'm giving this book a 4 star, even though it's more of a 3.5 rounded up for me. I think what was lacking for me was some very clear point of conflict or even a big twist. This book has light versions of those plot points, but nothing was incredibly shocking, so I think that because that wasn't happening, I kept expecting it to until I got to the last part of the story as the resolution started. To her credit, Lipman really lays things out nicely so that when the resolution in the book starts, everything makes sense and does not seem too far-fetched. I often get irritated with other books because resolution pieces to conflicts seem to come out of nowhere very quickly and sometimes are a bit of a stretch, but that was not the case in Ms. Demeanor. I also thought the title of the book was very clever, which honestly did make me pretty happy as well. Overall if you are looking for something fast paced and relatively calming, this is a great read!

Felt like there were two different plots that didn’t ever mix. Mystery element that never went anywhere and was kind of forgotten.
