I finished this in one sitting, but some parts were so disturbing and appalling, I thought "it can't get any worse", and it did. Definitely took me out of my comfort zone.

I think my reaction is just “bro, what.” 

Didn’t love it, but didn’t hate it either, hard to rate. Compelling enough to see it through to the end, and without the buildup it would’ve been ridiculous. Shockingly not the grossest thing I’ve ever read. The kind of book you read just to actually know for yourself what’s in it for morbid curiosity. Now I do know. Oh well. 

I do feel confident I may look at more “hardcore” horror novels that spark my curiosity though since I handled this one pretty well.
