In this novel, Hoover exposes the dark truth about survival as a lower-class member of society. She also challenges the dynamic perspectives of high-class and low-class individuals. I really like that she goes deep on this topic.
The romance was real and deep. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a tense romance!
Moderate: Abandonment and Addiction
Minor: Classism

colleen hoover put her whole heart into this book and i’m so happy this is one of my signed copies because idk how to live life rn.
i’m absolutely shook to my core rn. let me start from the beginning and collect my thoughts
from the beginning i knew i was going to love beyah. i knew she was going to be one of those characters that just stick with you forever. this isn’t your normal book. it has soul. it has passion. it has lessons. it has heart.
the dynamics in this book were some that truly stuck with me. beyah and sara. alana and beyah. beyah and samson. the list goes on it’s so endless.
the writing. the format. the word choices. i cannot express this enough it’s one of my favorite coho books.
i’ll leave y’all with a quote too <3
“please don’t make me the reason you give it all away.”
Moderate: Addiction, Classism, Cursing, Death of parent, and Death
