Overall very catching story, that you can’t let go, but the ending did feel a bit rushed.

Ok I know I picked up a Colleen Hoover book. I've read so many books of hers but still I didn't know what to expect from it. Anytime I read her books it's at my own risk. But out of all the Colleen Hoover books I've read,  'Heart Bones' is probably my favourite one.
With this author it's really hard to predict how the book is going to end and sometimes there aren't plot twists until the very end. Which changes your thoughts on the characters and the overall dynamic of the book. Which is what happened in this book.
I loved all the characters. And the storyline was so well thought out, you can easily tell. The way everything is linked is so satisfying and when you finally find out things that were not said at the start things start to make sense.
The main characters Beyah and Samson,
if that's his real name
are both immensely troubled. But they find peace with each other because they see themselves in each other. There story is beautiful and definitely not conventional when it comes to finding love. But it works for them.
There were times that I wanted to cry for Beyah because of how much she had gone through but she still managed to be functional and think of other people without drowning in their own grief. And for Samson. His character development was really good. I think he had a lot of demons from his past that he found hard to overcome. Beyah saw this too.
It would be a Colleen Hoover book without some really heavy trauma and with some shocking plot twists. But atleas this ending will make you smile.

It had a few graphic sexual parts. Not a book for kids under 18.
It was a good story line with good characters, but I felt had a lot of flaws.
The characters age seemed too young to be a book for adults. They should have been older. I did like how the author conveyed not to judge a book by its cover and the examples and development of the characters showed that. Slight romanization of abuse.

happy ending

It wouldn’t be a Colleen Hoover book unless there wasn’t a huge plot twist. I honestly don’t know why I didn’t see it coming. Beyah and Samson were cute as a couple, but honestly not a great couple. Still a really cute summer read.
