When her mother sold the town Candy, her grandmother founded, Holly is forced to reunite with her cousins to save the Winter legacies. Too bad her only hope is the two night stands she had 8 years ago, who happens to be the buyer. He wants to bulldoze everything and build a ski resort. The more time they spend together, the more they realize the attraction is still there… And it’s not going away ! But Holly is going to do everything she can to save Winterville…. Everything, even hurting people she cares about…
This is a really nice read ! It got dragged a bit before the big reveal but overall, it was great. We have the Christmas spirit, enemies to lovers, cute coffee dates and awesome cousins ! We learn about all the cousins, and even though there’s only 3 books in this series, I’m sure Carrie Elks will publish six books (for the six Winter Cousins). By the way, we have a sneak peak of the second book which sounds amazing I have to admit. Also, If North doesn’t end up with his business partner Ember, I’m gonna be really mad.
Anyway, Josh has a weird character development because he’s supposed to be carrier driven and a workaholic but he falls first and he falls harder than Holly (and quicker too). He’s wooing her and I have to be honest, I was persuaded that he was the one who will make a mistake in the end. But at the same time, it was original and I didn’t see that type of storyline much so still a good kind of weird I guess ?

What a wonderful way to introduce Winterville! It’s giving Gilmore Girls x Lifetime movies where the guy buys the town for his company and the girl tries to stop him. I loved that he remembered her for eight years and volunteered to stay in Winterville just to see her. Literally so adorable. I thought the side characters were fun and can’t wait to read about the rest of the Winters.
