I am really looking forward to reading more of this series.
This is the first book in a new series. There is a prequel available through Carrie's mailing list.
I really fell I love with Josh and Holly through their story. They had a lot to overcome but their twists and turns were filled with sweetness and steam.

I read this backwards, starring with book 3 and now book 1.
I'm in love with these characters and how the 6 (more like 5) cousins are so close and there for each other no matter what. The relationships are fantastic and the way they have this environment filled with found family is like a real life fantasy.
Absolutely gorgeous and so fun to read all the witty banter and snarky remarks made in jest.

Carrie Elks has done it again! I loved reading about how Josh and Holly's relationship blossomed throughout this book after 8 years apart via a story of battle of love for a small town on a side of the mountain. I loved the storyline, the writing, the relationship built between Josh and Holly but also between Josh and Holly's cousins/family. I also enjoyed the relationship development between Holly and her mum.

So, this book I found to have a slow beginng and wasn't the fast-paced book I was used to. I think this is due to me reading the books in the wrong order; reader-error! Also, this is probably down to Elks setting up the backstory of Winterville. As you get further through the book, the pace sped up a lot the further you read the book. Personally, I devoured the last two thirds of the book in one afternoon/evening!

100% recommend*!

4/5 Stars.

*Just remember to start with this book, not the others in the story. Don't make my mistake!*
