a sweet read featuring black lesbians and the difficulty of making a place for yourself in the world as a black queer woman. I felt that the story was a bit slow to get started at the beginning, and the ending felt a little rushed as well though

I really really wanted to like this book (and I did in parts) but the main character was just so frustrating. The parts about her career were interesting and I’m sure very true to the experience of people working in media but her personal life was hard for me to read.
The workplace plot was very compelling
