The forces of the Lord of the Radch--the wrong Lord of the Radch--are closing in, and an alien intelligence is also seeking answers from Breq's leadership in system. Add to this, a mysterious, millennia-lost troop transport is making its presence known, and all of the various factions are leaning into their respective power plays as the civil conflict blossoms into outright warfare.

Stronger than Sword, but still not quite as good as Justice--the new plot threads paying off here are satisfying, and the new characters are almost all enjoyable, but this and Sword as a pair feel a little like "the further adventures of--" tacked on to the end of Justice. Still, it's a very engaging adventure.

Overall Grade: A-

I finished this series in two or three days. It's good and it asks some reallie great questions. The storie is obviouslie compelling and the writing is excellent, but also it's fun and I definitely recommend it

An even bigger, harder Ancillary Justice boner in story form than Ancillary Sword was.  Even cooler, continuing to forge onward with the theme of "what is a person" from the previous books, surpassing them.  Breq combines badassery and gentle parenting on their way to essentially creating the caring-first utopia that the Radch empire claims to be

A strong conclusion to the ancillary trilogy. I wish the story of Breq continued but I'm still satisfied with the ending.
