Honestly, I think this was better than the second installment! I feel like now that it's fully leaned into the ridiculous, soap-opera-ness it is super enjoyable, even despite a few of the more unrealistic turns (seriously, the fact that Melanda and Phil both conveniently killed themselves seemed like a stretch) and the fact that it is overly long, but I didn't see the twist at the end coming at all! I think I would read the next one if there were more of these. Also, highly recommend the audiobook--the narrator is fantastic and it really brightened my commutes.
