A quick, easy read. Not boring, but not outstanding.
I picked it up because I'd never read a James Patterson book before, and I was curious. It is good for writers who want to learn basic structure for writing suspense fiction -- read it and take his fiction writing course on Masterclass, and you'll have a good introductory knowledge of Patterson's method. He's found great success; you can't argue with that!

It was just okay. I like James Patterson, but this whole book seemed a little cliche for his writing. I much prefer his older writing style then this style. In older books, you knew the killer's mind before you knew the killer. In this book, you meet the killer and then their mind.
To pass the time at my mother in laws house, I plucked this book from the shelf. I finished it in less than 24 hours, so that should say something about the break-neck pacing of this novel. Somewhat predictable, though Patterson still incorporated a few twists that kept me guessing. There were a few too many loose ends for my liking, as I was left with a lot of questions regarding the characters' motives, most specifically the villain Nora. There was also underwhelming character development, though this is typical of James Patterson books. His books are bestsellers because of the thrilling stories he writes, not his prowess as a writer. If you are looking for a fun, fast read, I recommend this book, though I enjoyed his Women's Murder Club books more. This was generally underwhelming.
I love James Patterson's writing. I really enjoyed this book. Nora has so much appeal that everyone looks the other way when bad things happen to the people around her.
Eh...the ending was kind of flat. I felt like they were wrapping three plot lines up at once, two of them that had very little attention given to during the book. It was OK, I like Patterson's writing and this won't discourage me from reading his books in the future but it wasn't one of my favorites by any means.
2.5 stars
I love James Patterson, so this book was a disappointment. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be “cheesy”. It started off good, had a good twist up front…then it went all downhill. I feel like I was reading a redone, for the millionth time, Lifetime movie. There was an aspect of it that didn’t make sense to me…and one of the main characters was just…well, stupid. For being an FBI agent, he wasn’t very bright. It was just, overall, a let down. This is a first in a series, one I probably won’t be continuing.

I bought this book at the used book store for $2 because I wanted a physical book to read on vacation. Live the short chapters, which made it easy to decide to keep reading or stop whenever I wanted. Parts of the story reminded me of gone girl, even though this book was written well before. Following Nora’s story and seeing what she would do next was captivating. I enjoyed this book!
It was fun and fast but the ending was disappointing.

"DON'T GIVE AWAY THE ENDING ... DON'T GIVE AWAY THE BEGINNING.
How does it feel to be desired by every man and envied by every woman? Wonderful. This is the life Nora Sinclair has dreamed about, the life she's worked hard for, the life she will never give up.
She doesn't just attract men, she enthralls them. So why is FBI agent John O'Hara interested in Nora Sinclair? Mysterious things happen to people around her, especially the men. And there is something dangerous about Nora, something that lures O'Hara at the same time that it fills him with fear.
Is something dark hidden in the gaps of her past? As O'Hara spends more and more time getting to know her, is he pursuing justice? Or his own fatal obsession?" (From Amazon)
Horrible..I feel like giving up James Patterson.

I read this Book in a few hours and that was exactly what I needed! I loved that the chapters were so short, because it kept me going „just one more chapter“ for the entire book. I liked the characters, there were some interesting twists. To be honest, I didn’t get this whole Tourist-part, but it wasn’t a big deal. This is not my favorite book, but it is quite entertaining.
