Typical Patterson... quick read but entertaining mystery/thriller.

I listened to this while driving to Fresno for a work conference. That's a LONG and BORING drive, but I was glad to be listening to this book because it kept me entertained....and I mean that in the worst possible way. Every part of this book was so laughable...the plot, the characters, the dialogue...that I kept listening because it kept me awake and laughing out loud! The ending was the most ridiculous, silly conclusion to a murder mystery that I've ever read or heard, that it just kept the laughs coming. In fact, I still laugh out loud when I think of it.

A lot better than I thought it would be...

I was looking forward to getting into another James Patterson book. This one had enough twists and turns, but I was able to keep up with the true bad gal. However the end had a nice twist enough for me to enjoy. Considering I listen to it that different voices for male and female was nice, but not needed.

It was a pretty predictable book. I liked some of the characters, but the story as a whole was just ok.

I've read several books by Patterson and liked them all. This one was forgettable.

I found this book on the shelves of the inn where my husband and I stayed for our honeymoon. Seemed fitting! Haha. I find most of James Patterson's books to be quick and easy reads, but always entertaining and this was no exception. It was a great thriller and a lot of fun to read on my honeymoon.

I thought it was good. One of his different books I almost felt sorry for Nora.

The jacket of this book warns of revealing the ending. That is normal for anyone reviewing a thriller, but this book warns of revealing the beginning as well. So what can be said about this book?
First the author grabs your attention right from the start and weaves many plot twists into the story so that you find that you are held to your seat for the duration.
I will say that if you ever wanted to know what being on the wrong end of a scorned woman might feel like... well you had no idea. I find myself rooting for the poor shmucks who find themselves involved with this woman.
Patterson and Roughan weave a twisted tale of murder, fatal attraction, greed and corruption. The funny part is that the main portion of the story; Nora Sinclair and her psycotic tendencies; is really just a secondary plot that never could have been brought out without the less focused on plot of corruption the FBI is investigating.
If you have never read a James Patterson book before, as I had not, then I think this one is a good starting point.

Good easy read thriller.

Exciting and fast paced read!
