A perfectly adequate read. Never really bought the underlying sexual tension between the characters, but there were some interesting twists that I wish had come a bit sooner, to make the characters more engaging and fully realized. But it didn't take away from the novel that much.
This was just dreadful. Poorly written, cliched, starring possibly the most unrealistic characters I've ever come across. I only finished it because it was a very quick read - short sentences, short chapters. I'm dreading picking up the first book of the Women's Murder Club series now, but it's waiting on hold at the library for me. Perhaps the author's skills have improved.
really liked it, nothing especially very good or very bad to say about it

Totally brain candy. The characters were interesting enough, the storyline was entertaining enough, and the conflicts were plausible. Obviously this was no #1 NY Times best seller, and for good reason, but it was a short suspension of reality. I read this because James Patterson identified this story specifically as he described identifying a raw idea worth pursuing. A woman who marries men in overlapping segments, unbeknownst to them, and then kills her lovers at the most opportune time. Is that a sales-worthy idea? Yeah, I suppose so. Did it wow me? No.

Remember eating cotton candy? It was not really satisfying but you went through it in a hurry. Honeymoon kept my attention... I finished it in a day... but I will not be in a rush to pick up another James Patterson product. Three stars because I had just read a heavy William Faulkner book and needed a page turner to cleanse the palate.
I loved this book. James Patterson is definitely the master of thriller/suspense. This one gave me Basic Instinct / Sharon Stone vibes big time. Honestly should have been made into a movie! Sex, lies, murder, undercover FBI, etc. All my faves.
BUT- is there a second book?!? There has to be. Too many unanswered questions! Like: (SPOILER INCOMING), why was Nora’s mother faking her dementia? AND, what did the note say that Nora’s mother dropped in her purse?!? AND apparently the nurse read the note, too..But none of this is ever explained!

Duet narration is where it is at! It totally kept me interested in the story. I love James Patterson books!
