It was good. I enjoyed it. I didn’t love it as much as I loved the Heroes of Olympus series. However, I’ve heard that things get really good in book three so I’m exited to dive into it.
I did love seeing Apollo growing and becoming less egotistical. I liked the adventures they went on. I liked the new characters we met alongside seeing some old favorites.

Finished this book in one day after not picking it up for a year. Reading Rick Riordan always feels like going home, and once I really get into his books I can't put them down.
I went into this book not really remembering much of what happened in the first book which I read two years ago when it had just come out and I waited a year to read this book once the Burning Maze came out. There were a lot of mentions/ bringing back old characters and events from his previous books that made me feel very nostalgic and I’m thinking of rereading the Percy Jackson series at the end of this year. I felt bad for apollo quite a lot since he couldn’t remember anything but also that a lot of the time he wasn’t that useful to the missions. I really want to know what he did that meant that he was punished to become a mortal. I can’t wait to read The Burning Maze but I saw a spoiler about the death of a certain character that left me in shock and now I’m not sure when I’ll start book three. Rick Riordan’s books will always be a 5/5⭐️ read for me.
