I can always count on Rizzoli and Isles for a great mystery. Body Double was just another great addition to this series. Tess Gerritsen does a good job of combining several storylines and giving us mulitiple mysteries that are a mix of predictable and I didn't see that coming. I enjoy the continuation of the characters personal lives, in addition to, the cases they are working. It's not all heartbreak and murder, their are some sweet moments too. I especially like watching Rizzoli and Isles' friendship develop. This is such a solid series and I can't wait to read more.

I'd figured what was going on in this book before the characters clued on and spent most of the book wishing the characters weren't so stupid and would just figure it out.

Would detectives investigating a Boston homicide really get so distracted by the family drama of a medical examiner that they actually forget about the original homicide and focus on series of out of state missing persons instead?

Would a cop who is 9 months pregnant really be the lead detective in a case were the killer is snatching and killing heavily pregnant women? Would she even be doing field work at all?

If Isles is frequently on TV and known as the Queen of the Dead by her colleagues and the media how come her identical twin sister who lived in Boston and presumably owns a TV never noticed it before?

It turns out Dr isles is the identical twin daughter of two cousins who murdered hundreds of women and sold their babies for $20,000 a pop. Even if we ignore the ridiculousness of that premise, what happened to all the money? Why didn't any of the handful of baby brokers ask any questions?

The more I think about it the more plot holes I see. Best not to think about it really.

Not my favorite in the series. It seemed too far fetched to really work as a plot for me (long lost twin? really, Gerritsen?) but the writing is still fast paced and intriguing and I really care about these characters. I'll definitely keep going on the series.
