This is a beautifully crafted selection of  Audre Lorde’s works. She is unapologetically herself. Black, Lesbian, Woman, Poet… her contribution is so necessary and important.

I recommend this to someone who is new to her and unsure where to begin or if you’re a fan of her works & need a condensed version to revisit.

a writer that i wish i had been introduced to earlier. my first introduction to the work of audrey lorde wasn’t until i took a feminist literature class in college, and i’m so thankful. from poetry isn’t a luxury to a master’s tools will never dismantle the master’ house, this book features foundational thoughts important to feminism as we know it today. She speaks on the intersectionality of many social issues and the power of being black and lesbian and a warrior poet.

This one is special - through a combination of essays, letters, diary entries, speeches and poems I felt so close to Audre by the end of it.
