I received a copy of this via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book! The characters are intriguing, the story is fast-paced and keeps you guessing all the way through.

DCI Erika Foster is a great lead character who isn't afraid to stand up to her bosses as her number 1 priority is the victims.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great crime thriller and I look forward to reading the next in the series when it is released.

I liked this book, but it was a little predictable.

Interesting story. Good premise. I only gave it three stars because the male author allows his female character to get the shit beaten out of her a few times in the book until at the end she nearly dies. I prefer female characters, particularly police officers, to know how to fight for their lives. Males writing female characters frequently allow them to get beaten up because of the male author's deep seeded believe that women to be weak and incapable of defending themselves against big, strapping men. It's unlikely that I'll read more of Mr. Bryndza's books because of this simple fact.
mysterious fast-paced
