I was really enjoying this book until the last quarter. The plot took a turn that I did not like.

was not a fan of the introduction of Alexis’s character or the fact that she was a talking sword. It felt a little out of place for the story but at the same time it kind of fit with the ridiculousness of the series. I wish the conflict had just been figuring out how to break the love potion without the weird random misogyny cult at the end

I do enjoy the series though.

Sign me up! This book was so cute and different tropes than I normally read which was a lot of fun!

This is an interconnected standalone that **Could** be read as a standalone, but reading the first book and novella definitely makes you enjoy the story better.
