The illustrations were darling, and the text was ok. I was a little frustrated with the repeat lines, but someone pointed out they were like the tides themselves and I was better with them.

The illustrations here are king (so to speak). Any child who has been to the ocean can identify with the setting immediately. The text is simple, but for me the abundance of incomplete sentences made it a tad confusing to follow the narrative.
