No star ratings for memoirs!

I did enjoy this on audio, although when sped up slightly (1.3-1.4x) the rhythm was off. I would recommend the audio as it's read by the author but would recommend keeping the speed at the normal cadence.

I read this in one big chunk while on a sick day, so there may have been some brain fog while reading the chapters, but overall I thought it was pretty engaging. I haven't read her book of poetry or her YA debut novel, but they have been on my list for a few years now. While YA isn't really my go-to genre, I am considering reading it this year. I liked the tie-in to her novel and the last chapter of this memoir. I might have found a greater connection to the memoir if I had read her books beforehand, but I don't need to know anything about a memoirist to enjoy said memoir.

There are some CWs to look at before reading!
