What a joy to find a book so unique in its voice. Unpredictable and fascinating, never goes where you expect it to. I think I appreciated the experience more than I did the story, which didn’t have a totally satisfying ending for me.

What can I say… It was a very explicit book which was an interesting style of choice. It’s sex driven but also thought provoking and psychologically driven. Spoiler: The story pivoted towards the end about her underlying issues which left me wondering why the whole book was around the big Swiss… cause she kinda dipped. Maybe it was never about her which is why I’ll give it more leeway but still interesting choice to end it like that.

This book was on the cusp of five stars for me until around 79% of the way through. The ending just felt a lot more contrived than the rest of the book, which was overflowing with subtle and unsubtle wit. However, the strength of the plot and the characters through the rest of the book still carry this to a respectable 4/5. Would read more from this author and watch an adaptation if it comes out.
