Good book

So this book was the whole reason I started this series. I had read the Folsom Prison Blues series first and if you know that series than you know why this book piqued my interest.

I have to say… while I liked it overall, it was a little bit of a let down. I guess, because the rest of the series has so much action, I was bored with the more subtle politics of this part. It was necessary and I get that, but I wasn’t as engaged with it as I thought I would be.

Another problem I had was Ella. She was almost too childlike through most of the story, which is understandable given her upbringing but it made some of the sexier times a little weird for me. (Like the kitten outfit-

The age play was so intense and so gross; I wish there had be TW or at least some mention of it in the description. Made me nauseous.

I absolutely loved Ella and Karthajin’s connection! They were so sweet. Ella grows so much throughout the book. I love them as a couple.
