This book has two main parts: Hyperfocus and Scatterfocus. It emphasizes importance of both and how to improve our focus. Many of those idea weren't new or unique, though no other book goes that deep into our focus and attention. If you want to deeply understand how our attention works and take steps to improve it, skimming this book might help.

I enjoyed this book. Some tips I used already but there are new ones that I can add to my collection to improve my productivity. it was nice to hear about the breakdown of scatter focus and how one could use that to improve creativity as well as collecting and connecting dots which is a strategy that I've switched to. I'll be reviewing the notes I took and seeing what I can apply to my existing process.

DID NOT FINISH

I'm already hyperfocused 😂
informative lighthearted fast-paced

It's a good book with some ideas for you to be more intentional with your focus and tips on how to do that. It was nothing exceptional or innovative if you already read books about these topics in particular.
