To jedna z najpiękniejszych historii przeczytanych w moim życiu, ma wszystko co kocham w powieściach - jest zabawna i wzruszająca, można się przy niej śmiać i płakać, bo trafia prosto w serce, porusza czytelnika i chociaż jest tak krótka, zostaje w myślach na długo... Jestem pod ogromnym wrażeniem i mogę z cała pewnością powiedzieć, że „Oskara i panią Róże” polecam i będę polecać każdemu! To jedna z powieści, które chcesz pożyczyć babci, mamie, przyjaciółce, tylko po to żeby zafundować im te same emocje przy lekturze tak prostej, niepozornej, a mimo wszystko bardzo poruszającej i ważnej książki. To cudowne, wzruszające spojrzenie na smierć młodego, chorego chłopca, który mimo raka odnajduje szczęście i każdego dnia żyje tak, jakby patrzył na świat po raz pierwszy.

Stāsts aizskar trauslas stīgas un runā par to ko neviens vecāks nekad mūžā nevēlēlas iztēloties savā pat visļaunākajā murgā - sava bērna pāragra aiziešana. Nāve vienmēr ir biedējoša, bet sajūtas kādas pārņem bērnu, kurš knapi uzsācis savu dzīvi ir tik biedējošas, ka šķebina.
Tēma ir spēcīga un ļoti smaga, tomēr grāmatā es tomēr nedaudz vīlos - kā nereti gadās, kad uz to liec pārāk lielas cerības. Man kaut kas pietrūka vai bija par daudz - grāmatā tiek izcelta Dieva nozīme un tā kā manā dzīvē reliģija neieņem tādu lomu, tad, iespējams, tieši šis kaut kā īsti nebija man.
Taču kristiešiem, jo sevišķi bērniem šī būs vērtīga grāmata caur kuru uzsākt sarunu par nāvi.

4 stars. This was a very sweet read about a boy with cancer writing letters to God. I’m not a very spiritual person but I really enjoyed this book. It was funny and heart warming and sad. Also proud of myself for reading in French :)

He writes letter to God with the innocence that only a child can have.
This book made me laugh, it also made me cry (yes i shed a tear at the end). Because yes, Oscar is dying of cancer but with these 12 letters to God Oscar is more alive than ever.

You need a lot of Kleenex, A WHOLE FREAKING LOT OF KLEENEX. I don't think I have ever cried for a book more than for this little one. It was less than 200 pages long, but I think it revolved around such a strong and deep subject that i couldn't even realize what I was meant to read.
It is a story of little boy who has a lot of questions, is ill and is best friend is the lady in pink who comes visit him.
I.. just.. cried.. so.. much. You have no idea. Please, buy a lot of Kleenex and be ready to pour your eyes out. You have been advised my friend.
