Books 2 and 5 (or 4 if you go by the goodreads counting) are definitely the best of the bunch. These ones get the internal love story elements paired with the plot (both plot plot and mental health plot) leading to better character growth and overall better pacing and feel.

Probably smuttier than I was expecting or wanting. And not sure I would recommend reading the whole series just to get to this book...

Wanted to love it but thought it was very meh. Wasn’t obsessed with Cassian and Nesta was super annoying for the majority of the book.

As with the other books, nothing really exciting happens until the very end. Kind of bored of this layout now. 

I didn’t help myself by not reading it for months at a time. Never had a book taken me almost a year to read!

4.5 ⭐️ Romance was 10/10 but the other half of the plot got lost towards the end imo. It feels like so many things are left unanswered, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing!!

I never liked Nesta, never wanted to like her. And after reading 750 pages about nothing but Nesta glaze, I still don’t like her.

Everything in this book happened a little bit too conveniently for my tastes.

I feel like a lot of the characters personas, particularly Rhysand, changed in this book from what I was used to reading in the others and I didn’t appreciate that.

Disappointed ☹️
