I’m so grateful for Nesta’s character development cause I really did not like her in the other books
I am SO sad to be done reading ACOTAR. I’m not gonna lie, I dragged my feet through this one only to prolong my time with the Inner Circle. I can’t wait to see where the story continues to go

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.
The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.
Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.
Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other's arms.

At the begining of the book Nesta is kinda "insufferable" and it takes a bit to warm up to her and her personality, but once she begins to open up little by little, you start to empathise with her.
I love that Cassian never once stopped believing in Nesta and was always by her side "reaching out his hand". The girls as well, that was a bit part of Nesta becoming the person she did by the end, they never judged her or anything even if Nesta did it to herself.
It's so good to see them in their own healing journey, but always being there by eachother side.
But the scene in the last pages of the book?! I think that is the cherry on top of what makes me like Nesta... The way she fearlessly summoned the Dead Trove to help her save Feyre and the baby (and consequently Rhys of course), doing anything she could and couldn't, or in the case, didn't know how to do it, to keep her family alive. Giving up her power to do it and being rewarded by the Mother for it 😭
On another note, I think this books kind of dragged a bit in my opinion... I'm like Nesta, I love smut, but reading this for the second time, I don't know, I think we didn't need so much sex 🤣
But besides that, I really love this book and the whole journey.
I don't get the Nesta hate! She is such an interesting and complex character. I loved her journey, especially the found female friendship. The ending felt quick! I thought it was going to end on a cliffhanger there was so few pages left. It was a little to "happily ever after" in the ending for the cynic in me. A great read!

Where do I begin?! By far the best book of the series! This book was full of female friendships and empowerment. I never liked Nesta in the previous books but this book really shows her fiery personality and the growth of character by the end. She fought through her demons and came out with a loving relationship and friendship that was written so beautifully. I love the way she came through for Feyre despite their strained relationship throughout the books. I could picture this book as a movie and for me that is a big deal when reading because it keeps my interest and intrigue. Overall I would rate a 4.75 ⭐, only because the smut in this book was wayyyyy more than any of the other books in the series and it felt like a bit much.
