Absolutely brilliant!! Love every minute of this book. I went from Crying to laughing out loud from one page to the next. I felt exactly how each character felt at each turn of the page and each change of person in a new chapter. Absolutely amazing, I would highly recommend Milly Johnson to anyone.

Thank you Milly, you’re a gem in the novel world xx

What is it with this author and her having to hate vegans in a lot of her books, being ignorant of good vegan cooking.

What a fun, light piece of chick lit, not at all what I was expecting, especially as we only hit The Sunflower Cafe about 100 pages in but it was a fun read.

Connie has always been her husbands ‘best girl’, until she discovers he has been playing away for the past twenty-four years and Connie wants revenge! Connie’s husband runs his own cleaning company so what better way to get revenge than start up her own rival cleaning company to destroy her husbands! With the help of Della they set up their own business called Lady Muck along with all the other cleaners who meet at the sunflower cafe. Then Connie meets Brandon a chocolatier, will he be able to make Connie smile and light up her life? And can Lady Muck destroy Connie’s husbands company and reach the top cleaning company in town? All will be revealed if you read this beautifully written story!

This is the perfect book for readers who enjoy chick-lit, romance and contemporary. Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Cafe is a book I really enjoyed and the gorgeous cover and title are an added bonus. I promise you that you will fall in love with the cafe and the characters, I know I did! The only reason why I did not award five stars is because it did not wow me away like some books I have read! However, it is a very enjoyable story where parts nearly had me laughing. This is an easy to read, fast paced girly book with plenty of drama to keep you reading till the end. Enjoy.

i haven't read chick lit in a While but milly johnson is an old fave. i was a little unsure about the beginning--della's unwarranted hatred of connie was a little upsetting to read--but milly johnson came through as she tends to do. i could've done without the cheating but jimmy had negative five redeeming qualities so i wasn't too broken up about it.
