I’m sorry it wasn’t for me. Douglas seemed to be trying too hard to make Easton “relatable” and down to earth despite the attention. I did however like Tyler’s character. I think it was a decent look into the struggles of connecting with children when they’re predominantly in a seperate environment and having a career. The views on teaching were alright. But it’s the rating is so low because her OCD was treated like a quirk, having it be “kinda cute” as Douglas described was in my opinion atrocious. OCD is a mental illness and disorder, it’s not a quirk or cute. It was highly disrespectful of people who have OCD. Also the queer baiting wasn’t appreciated and neither was reinforcing the idea that sapphic relations (sexual mainly) are something to be sexualised and or used by, I’m assuming straight women, to anger/turn on a man. Leave queer relationships out of your book if you’re not going to do it correctly or just be plain disrespectful
