I finished this book in just over a day because I never wanted to put it down. This author is quickly becoming a new favorite because of her amazing characters. I can’t wait to start another of hers. The premise of this book is using DNA to find your perfect match. In the end, we never find out how matched the main characters really are, but it doesn’t really matter any way.

Enjoyable when it wasn’t morally queasy and nonsensical (which was about 30% of the time). I liked the main characters and the child is well-written, but the business side of things doesn’t add up and the resolution doesn’t feel like much of a fight at all. One character just kind of folds despite their misgivings.

The Soulmate Equation is another sweet, hilarious, easy-to-read story from Christina Lauren, my go-to duo for books and characters that just make me smile.

It was intelligent, funny and a concept I’ve never read before, which is always a treat.

It's incredible how real the connection feels between Jess and River throughout this book. The way that Christina Lauren describes the intensity between them is so well done that the entire storyline feels completely plausible.

Easy to read romance novel!

The premise of this book, like so many CLo novels, was incredibly enticing. You have to hand it to the duo for writing something that was a gentle-touch during what was a dark time (the Covid pandemic).

This was so nerdy and fun and cute. Rivers is my type of human and he found his other half in Jess and it was so sweet. What would you do if you could genetically calculate the likelihood of your romantic match with another? I mean would you get swept up in the numbers or would you just allow yourself to meet new humans and explore ?

This was such a unique concept of rom com and the also really beautiful with addition of Juno. The epilogue DESTROYED me and I choked up a bit. It was just so sweet and tender and awe.

I think we could’ve either expanded more on her mom situation or we could’ve done without the inclusion of her character at all and just hinted at the relational strain / trauma to add dynamics to Jess’s character there. I think those bits often took me out of the story rather than moved it along or made me understand Jess fuller. But other than that, a great read and a lovely book.
