I love Katee Robert's books and this one is no exception (dare I say I even liked this one better than neon gods & that one is AMAZING). Psyche & Eros' tension was so intense so of course the spicy scenes were *chefs kiss*. I really liked that Psyche was as supportive of Eros and he was of her when it came to his emotional struggles. If you're into "I don't share", one bed tropes, and revenge this book is for you.

I enjoyed this book so much. I listened to the audiobook and I think, sometimes, that adds to the story. I felt so immersed in the story.

Psyche and Eros were perfect for one another. And I love when the guy falls before the girl.

I didn’t mind that the conflict was Aphrodite, but I would’ve loved to see more of the relationship over a longer period of time. I wasn’t expecting the story to take place in a one week period. But I loved everything that took place in the book, especially Psyche helping Eros realize his worth beyond what his mother molded him to be.

2.5/5 on the spicy scale. There wasn’t that many sex scenes in the book. I think this was more plot based which I enjoyed. The audio of the scenes though was perfect.

this book gave what neon gods lacked in the politics department. it was a really good balance of romance and politics that i ate through in just a couple days!

Compared to Neon Gods, Electric Idol is a rom-com, but in an incredibly hot way. The diversity in Katee Roberts books always blows me away,
as a curvy girl myself I always appreciate a curvy female m/c, and as a pansexual, seeing the represented in this book was incredible.

As with the first book in this series, what a wild ride. The world-building is still a bit loosey-goosey, but let's be honest here: We're not here for a fleshed out world, are we? ;) I just wish that Robert did a bit more to explain where Olympus is and how it ended up like this. Like, she references real-life countries, but apparently magic is sort of a thing?? I don't know. The speed of the relationship's progression definitely requires some suspension of belief, but I love musical theatre, so I'm capable of that. I love that both leads are bi/pansexual; just wish we could've had more than just a few passing comments. Big steamy vibes and love the emotional growth between the main couple. Huge CW for narcissistic parent though, cause OOF.
