This was a good romance, but I feel like this author writes the same story with different characters again and again. If I read this as a stand-alone I’d like it better.

I absolutely love this book.

There are very few things written by Katee Robert that I don’t love. Electric Idol, is not one of them. I was hooked on this book from the start. These characters were so amazing and so well written, I don’t think that I could have really asked for more.

I knew from the moment I met Eros at the end of Neon Gods that I would love him and he absolutely did not disappoint.

And a plus sized heroine in a main stream novel? Absolutely loved that. Plus sized women are very rarely viewed in a positive light in literature so it was nice for a change to read something about somebody who looks like me. Representation in all its forms is important. And, I don’t think that I’ve actually ever read any novels that feature a plus sized heroine, so this was basically love at first read for me.

Even more so that Eros was just so in love with Psyche in all her plus sized glory…that made me love him even more.

Fictional men for the win, always.

The spice, as usual, exceptional. Miss Robert never ever disappoints here.

Jiskřivý idol je druhý díl série Temný Olymp, a i když jste první díl nečetli, s klidem se můžete pustit do tohoto. Jedná se pouze o navazující knihu, ve které je jiná ústřední dvojice.

Psyché Dimitriouová je Persefonina (hlavní postava Neonových bohů) sestra. Je to úspěšná influencerka s postavou, jež podle komentářů na sociálních sítích nesplňuje ideál ženské krásy.
Eros je Afroditin syn. Matka ho využívá na špinavou práci a poté, co se Psyché s Erotem společně ocitnou na celkem zavádějícím snímku, Afrodita rozhodne i o osudu Psyché.

Stejně jako předchozí díl, i tento jsem si moc užila. Řecká mytologie zasazená do moderního světa je skvělá a neskutečně mě to bavilo.
Bylo to čtivé, vtipné a romantická linka neměla chybu. Pokud máte rádi od nenávisti k lásce, dohodnutý sňatek, nucenou blízkost, jednu postel… tak neváhejte, protože tohle všechno v knize najdete.
