First chapter someone is bitter, me like it!

Seriously, I knew this reading would be sad at some point but I wasn't expecting to ugly cry as much as I did, damn. This book was rather bittersweet to me, with all the ups and downs. It was heartbreaking and lovely at the same time.

I really liked the MCs, but being able to witness the journey of these two fools was as frustrating as it was rewarding in the end. If you look in the dictionary the definition of stubborn mule it would say Reese and google would show her pic.

A much darker book than the others I've read from the author.
Not just because of Rachel's cancer, explicitly mentioned in the synopsis, but for its apparent normalisation of abusive behaviour, dubious consent, alcohol abuse and the casual outing of a character.

I have mostly enjoyed the author's other works so far, but this one was unfortunately not for me.

This was a nice, quick read. I loved the family relationships in this one but was pretty frustrated with both Reese and Bette. If they just talked *sigh*
