This book was rooted in the painful and sometimes tedious issues of real life, and I liked it all the more for the dose of reality that left me feeling like our MCs had earned their HEA through maturity and hard work.

Feel the Fire was a nicely written M/M romance, full of heat, love, pain, risk, regrets and second chances. And I was fully engaged from the start. So much so, I found it extremely hard to put down. Not to mention, I found the characters very likable, and their circumstances, maturity and communication truly refreshing.

Would recommend. Even if you've not read the earlier stories as Feel the Fire can easily be read as a standalone.

I tried to start this series at book one so many times and just could not get into it. I have no clue why, because I very much enjoy Albert's writing. So I skipped to some tropes I know I like, especially from Albert (single dad, friends to lovers) and found a hit!

The synopsis on my copy undersells. It's not just a second chance romance, but also a childhood friends to lovers with a demisexual lead and a blended family. I also really enjoyed the plotline of approaching/embracing big life changes mid-adulthood. A tender romance with a fresh plotline that really scratched the Albert itch I'd had for a bit.

I enjoyed this but it's definitely my least favorite of the three I've listened to so far.  I don't have any notes for this book which indicates that there was nothing that bothered me or that I outright hated but I just wasn't super invested the way I was in the other books and Im not really sure why.  The only thing i can think of as something I wish we had seen was Luis and Tucker telling Tucker's kids about everything at the end.  We saw so many of their conversations throughout the books but then at the end all this stuff happened and we never saw how the kids reacted to it and I was a little let down by that.

Still a phenomenal time that that I was thrilled to get off hold and Iggy Toma is always phenomenal.
