Bumped this to a two star after a re-read. Things picked up towards the end of the manga but other than, this volume was mostly filler. Futaba is still hung up on Kou, Kou is still indecisive, and Toma is still making the moves on Futaba even though Futaba has made it beyond obvious that she still has feelings for Kou. In my previous reviews, I already complained about the problems I have with the series so I'm not gonna complain about it again.
My favorite part of this volume was when Futaba put Kou in his place regarding his hot and cold attitude. Moments when Futaba finally stands up for herself makes me respect her a bit more but my respect starts to wane when she goes back to being the same Kou obsessed Futaba. I just wish that instead of forcing herself to fall for Toma, she would just focus on herself. Like we know little to nothing about Futaba. Like what are her long-term goals? What are some of her hobbies? Like what does she likes to do besides worrying about boys? Despite my annoyance with him, Kou seems to be getting more development compared to Futaba. I'm just not looking forward to this love triangle (square?) getting dragged out even more.

At this point it does feel like the author is really dragging the story on with all this miscommunication and obstacles getting in the way of the two main characters. It's honestly getting rather jarring, but maybe that's because I'm 22 and all this bs highschool drama has been behind me for a while. I understand the demographic is 14-17 but even then this shit would have been annoying to me. However I do like how with each volume the friendships between everyone including the side characters develop more and more.
Good but not Exciting .
I enjoyed this volume but its not a favorite. I wish there was a bit more excigement . kinda love toma!!!

Futaba confesses her feelings, then Kou ‘rejects’ her. She feels as if that’s the closure she needs in order to move on… I guess we’ll see.
Futaba decided to change her appearance. But then realises that maybe that’s not who she is. She feels as if she’s lost and questions is everyone else knows who they really are too.
Ok… Toma is actually a sweet guy. He may be trying to shoot his shot in the wake of Futaba being rejected but he still tried to uplift her even when she expresses her true intention of wanting to change. If Kou doesn’t get his act together soon I’ll be rooting for Toma instead.
While Futaba is trying to figure out who she is, Kou is struggling with what he should do. In the process he’s loosing weight and not eating—I think this is a clear sign of his struggle: how it’s weighing down on him, causing him stress and adding ti his grief.
Futaba tries to distance herself from Kou so she can move on. Toma asks Futaba out and while she initially said she’d think about it, in the end she then takes him up on his offer to hang out.
