This trilogy killed me. I really need more books about these shapes, or more shapes in the same world... I don't care, I just need there to be a dozen more of these books because they crack me and my kid up (and as a kid's librarian, I promise, finding books to amuse both parents and children is a task in and of itself sometimes) and they're so much fun to read aloud. Plus, again... the shifty-eyes expressions are such a weird little delight.

I don't know why I love this story, but I love it.

Team square!

There is something really messed-up about Barnett and Klassen, and I am here for it.

I love the illustrations, but there is no ending...I needed a resolution.

Triangle and Square were huge hits in our house, and Circle did not disappoint! The almost monochromatic illustrations allow for focus on the text and on the incremental changes on the wordless pages. The wordless pages are almost the most popular since the kids get to tell me what's happening. I definitely will be recommending this book to the kids I work with (and their adults).

It's a mystery. Spelunking is involved.

I get that he/him ends up often being the default in English. There's a movement to rely more on the single they/them and I think these three books would have been better without a gender binary.
