It took a long time for me to complete this book. The style caught me and held my pace much slower than usual. However, I won't call declare it was a crippling style. Maybe a story about a hundred & four year old lady needs such a pace. Memories trickle and hold space instead of gushing ahead in this story.
Generation gap is something that can always be bridged, only thing that is needed is the right mind-set.

From the title of this book you would think that the entire story would be centered around a boy that is above all others. However, this is not the case. In fact the boy's role in the story is minimal. However, his impact is felt by many.

Started a bit slowly, but I found myself smiling and holding my heart quite a bit, particularly when Ona would answer the boy’s questions and I had to guess what he had asked. A sweet story.

The emotional path I traveled while reading this book led me at times to tears and at other times to laughter. I enjoyed how the boy was the fabric that wove the story together. Without him the piece of work would not exist. The story also opened my eyes to how a person feels as they grow older. They don't want to be treated liked helpless beings but like regular people. I loved the characters of Ona. She was by far my favorite. I loved reading how her story unfolded.
