I laughed, I cried, and I learned a few things

Highly recommend if you are a fan of King, memoirs, or an aspiring writing

i love stephen king’s writing style. he’s funny, to the point while still being entertaining. this  gave me a cup of courage to start seriously on my own writing with a little bit of confidence.

"Outdated" is the nicest thing I'll say about this book.

All I can say is that I'm so glad he wrote this book. The section of the book focused on his life was extremely interesting and the actually lessons on writing were extremely insightful. There are so many memorable and meaningful quotes that are going to stick with me in my writing endeavours. A must read for anyone looking to get into or better their writing!

while i wasn’t the most invested in the memoir aspect of this book (it wasn’t bad in the slightest, i’m just a girl on a mission and i want the writing advice more than anything) i don’t think there was a part of this book i thought was unnecessary. i didn’t agree with all of his advice, but i think all of it has value and is worth contemplating

This book was extremely informative and inspiring. It gave me the feeling I can write a novel, something I've always thought to be out of my league, and a general inspiration to go back to writing.
I'd recommend it to all aspiring writers, I didn't agree with all the points but it's a clear and concise in its directions, which leaves them open to reinterpretation.
The memoir sections were entertaining and moving, only the graphic descriptions of his injuries after the accident proved a bit too much for me.
I will very likely read it again when I feel like I need encouragement.
