Interesting to see how the book deviates from the show. This book is a great look into the selfishness of the rich and the spiral of violence this man is creating. Lost a star for the weird whorephobic commentary, but a very addictive read.

I watched the show before reading the books and they are so different, but I love both! It makes sense why they went in a different direction for the Netflix adaptation because they had to set up a formulaic approach for multiple seasons. I enjoy that they are so different though, it’s one thing that made this book even more exciting to read. Very surprised by the ending. Will continue reading this series. Although, I don’t think any of the following books will beat how much I enjoyed reading “You” for the first time.

Much better than You. Best parts for me were Forty’s monologues. Too many holes, though, to bump up to a four.
