It took a little while for me to get into this book, but the premise behind it is really interesting! Getting stuck in your favorite romance dystopian book as the main character. Would you still fall in love with the guy? Would you and your loved ones even survive?
And if you don't want to read the whole series, the ending of the first book clears up enough that you won't feel obligated to read them all, which I always appreciate! Gotta know how all the stories end! ;)

This book was so much fun!! It was a really great way to pass a couple of days with of reading time. Decent writing, fun characters and some most excellent Scouse swearing. There was some decent undercurrent commentary about relationships and expectations which I enjoyed.

A throughly solid 4.

I had never heard of this book before, but the title alone snagged my interest and then after reading the summary, I had to get the book and read it. Most of the book I really enjoyed, because I find geeky and fandom related books to be really fun. However, this book features a trope that I can't stand and it became rather obvious that it was going to happen early on in the book. Other than
Spoiler having the main character be in a coma and wake up at the end of the book
I very much enjoyed my brief time reading this book, and would probably recommend it to others.

The idea for this was really great, but the story fell flat for me. All of the characters felt really stereotypical, especially Alice.
The buildup to her betrayal was good, but her sacrifice at the end didn't have any at all. The other characters all hated on her all the time, they never liked her and her character in itself was very undeveloped, her only traits was being hot and liking The Gallows Dance.
